This Privacy Policy applies to information that we collect during your use of the Service provided at CadenzaMIM.com and offered by Cadenza Music Industry Management LLC.

By performing any of the following actions: (1) clicking "Accept" in the Terms Of Service & Privacy Policy notification bar, (2) clicking the confirmation checkbox on sign up for reading these legal documents, and/or (3) your continued use of any of the Services provided here will let us know that you've read, understood, and agree to this Privacy Policy. This also includes our Terms of Use, which you can consider part of this Agreement.

We only gather information about you when we have a legitimate reason, such as providing our service, communicating with you, or enhancing our service. We obtain this information from three sources: when you voluntarily provide it, automatically through the operation of our service, and from external sources. Now, let's review the information we collect.

It's to be expected that we collect information that you provide to us directly. Here are some examples:

  • Basic account information: We ask for some basic information to get your account started. When signing up for a CadenzaMIM.com account, you'll need to provide an email address, password, and a username and name – that's the core requirement. You can also choose to share more information, like your Organization's details during signup, but it's not mandatory for creating a CadenzaMIM.com account.
  • Public profile information: If you've got an account with us, we gather the info you share on your public profile. For instance, if you're on CadenzaMIM.com, your username is part of your public profile, along with any other details you add, such as a photo or an 'About Me' description. Remember, your public profile info is visible to everyone, so be mindful of what you choose to include.
  • Payment and contact information: When making a purchase on our site, we gather information to handle payments and reach out to you. If you buy an Organization subscription through the 'Payment Settings' tab in your Organization's dashboard, you'll need to supply personal and payment information like your name, credit card details, and contact information. We also maintain a record of your purchase history through the payment processing site, Stripe.
  • Content information: You might provide us with information about yourself in draft and published content, such as in your Organization’s Staff Management tool, our website builder, or comments that include biographic information about you, or any media or files you upload.
  • Communications with us: You can also share information with us when you participate in surveys, interact with our support team, or subscribe to a newsletter. Any communication you have with us, whether through a form, email, phone, CadenzaMIM.com comments, or other means, can be archived, including any call recordings allowed by applicable law.

We also collect some information automatically:

  • Log information: Similar to many online service providers, we gather information typically provided by web browsers, mobile devices, and servers. This includes details such as browser type, IP address, unique device identifiers, language preference, referring site, access date and time, operating system, and mobile network data. Log information is also collected when you use our Service, for instance, when you create a new user account or Organization on CadenzaMIM.com.
  • Usage information: We gather data about your usage of our Service such as what happens when you use our Service (e.g., page views, support document searches at CadenzaMIM.com/pages/support, features enabled for your Organization, interactions with our Public Site feature and other parts of our Service) along with information about your device (e.g., screen size, name of cellular network, and mobile device manufacturer). This data aids us in providing the Service, improving its functionality based on user behavior, and making predictions about user retention.
  • Location information: We may estimate your device's approximate location based on your IP address. This helps us, for instance, in determining the number of visitors from specific geographic regions using our Service.
  • Information from cookies & other technologies: A cookie is a piece of information that a website stores on a visitor's computer and is provided by the visitor's browser to the website upon return. Pixel tags, or web beacons, are small code blocks placed on websites and emails. At Cadenza Music Industry Management LLC, we utilize cookies and technologies like pixel tags to identify and monitor visitors, their usage and preferences for our Service, assess email campaign effectiveness, and provide targeted ads. For more details on our use of tracking technologies, including cookie control options, please refer to our Cookie Policy.

We may obtain information about you from other sources. For example:

  • Third Party Login If you create or log in to your CadenzaMIM.com account through another service, such as Google, we'll receive related login details like a connection token, your username, and your email address.
  • Social Sharing Services: If you link your account or Organization to a social media service, such as Twitter, we'll obtain information from that service, such as your username, basic profile details, and your friends list, as part of the authorization process.

The information we receive varies depending on the services you use or authorize and the available options.

Third-party services may provide us with information, including mailing addresses for individuals who are not yet our users (but we hope will be!). We use this data for marketing purposes.

We use information about you for the purposes listed below:

  • To place and manage ads in our advertising program: For instance, to display ads on an Organization’s generated website, and evaluate ad performance.
  • To market our Service and measure, gauge, and improve the effectiveness of our marketing: For instance, by targeting our marketing messages to Organizations of our users (like those who have a particular plan with us or have been users for a certain length of time), advertising our Service, analyzing campaign results (e.g., conversion rates from marketing messages), and forecasting user retention.
  • To protect our Service, our users, and the public: For instance, we detect security incidents, protect against malicious or fraudulent activity, combat spam, meet legal obligations, and safeguard the rights and property of Cadenza Music Industry Management LLC and others. This may involve actions such as declining transactions or terminating Service.

  • To communicate with you: For instance, by emailing you for feedback, sharing service tips, showing targeted marketing, and providing updates on Cadenza Music Industry Management LLC. We may also send text messages to verify payments. If you prefer not to receive such communications, you can opt out of marketing messages anytime. Please note that we will continue to send essential account-related updates even if you opt out of marketing.
  • To process successful transactions or track potential fraud: To ensure the secure processing of transactions for Organization subscriptions and identify and prevent potential fraudulent activities.

The California Consumer Privacy Act ('CCPA') mandates that we furnish California residents with additional information about the personal information categories we collect, their sources, and our purposes for using them. The CCPA also necessitates a list of the 'categories' of personal information we collect as defined by the law, found below. We may collect the following categories of personal information from California residents, depending on the Service used:

  • Identifiers (like your name, contact information, and device and online identifiers);

  • Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights under the CCPA.

We show ads on some of our users’ Organization websites (created by our Public Site builder), and the revenue these ads generate lets us offer free access to some of our Service so that money doesn't become an obstacle to having a voice. As part of our advertising program, we use cookies to share certain device identifiers and information about your browsing activities with our advertising partners, and those advertising partners may use that information to show you personalized ads on some of our users’ sites and some of our own. The personal information we share includes online identifiers; internet or other network or device activity (such as cookie information, other device identifiers, and IP address); and geolocation data (approximate location information from your IP address). These disclosures may be considered a “sale” of information under the CCPA. We do not sell (or share) information through our ads program that identifies you personally, like your name or contact information. We don't knowingly sell personal information of those under 16. We currently are still developing our Automatic Opt-Out feature for California and the “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” section, so please send us a message on our Contact Us page or email us at [email protected] if you would like to opt out before this feature is complete.

You can typically access, correct, or delete your personal data using your account settings and provided tools. If you need assistance with any other rights, please contact us through our Contact Us page or email us at [email protected]. To ensure your rights, we will verify your identity before disclosing or deleting any information. For example, as a user, please reach out from your account's associated email address. You can also appoint an authorized agent with written authorization to make requests on your behalf, and we may still require identity verification.
